   For this month, I recommend listening to Paul Scheer’s Joyful Recollections of Trauma as an audiobook. He is an excellent storyteller and the audiobook has funny clips from his podcast as well.

3. The Buzz: I am burned out and restless at the same time. I am working up the energy to cut out activities that are more draining than enjoyable but am also on the lookout for some new projects to energize me.

   
   Ideally, I would love to work with an individual or team that is looking to figure out how to execute or scale their well-defined vision.

It has opened my eyes about our political systems and given me a new view on both left-wing and right-wing politics…that all of it still feeds into the settler-colonial framework and furthers eco-genocide.

5. We have some not-great news about Ms. Olive Ismail. The vet found a mass in her mammary glands that we had removed but the biopsy came back as Stage 2 Cancer (Adenocarcinoma?). We spoke to a oncologist about treatment options but they would all be very stressful for her and not guarantee significant improvements to her quality or length of life.

   
   However, she is acting very much like her cuddly, bossy self and being spoiled excessively. Insh’Allah, we have at least one more year with her.
