October 2024 Edition
Whoever decided that this should be the tenth month instead of the eighth month of the year should be stabbed...oh wait, he was.
Blog Post: How does one feel feelings? - I’m not a robot, I was just programmed this way.
Podcast: - Season 4, Episode 7: The Reunion Episode - The season finale, taped in front of a live studio audience…in your MIND!
The Buzz: Israel’s attacks have caused the deadliest day of conflict in Lebannon since 2006. This is only normalized because we have let Israel get away with this behavior in Gaza. Let’s call this what it is - terrorism.
On October 5th, Seth and I attended a protest at the White house. A journalist from Arizona named Samuel Mena Jr. set himself on fire. (WaPo article). He was a few hundred feet away from us. I thought that the sweet smoky smell was someone with a strong vape until I found out why all the cops were rushing by. It sounds like he survived, but he is not the only person to self-immolate for Palestine. What drives someone to that level of desperation to bring attention to this massacre?
To the 10 thousand children in Gaza that have lost a limb in this conflict, I give my left arm to you. I pray my voice was able to raise up yours, and that your smiles never disappear. - Samuel Mena Jr.
It’s when people like you, who say you care, can’t be bothered to spend 2-5 minutes a day on a pro-Palestinian action. Politicians are selfish and weak and hate to feel discomfort. If everyone who believed in a ceasefire and in an arms embargo called them every day and emailed them every day, they would comply.
Instead, you have pro-Israel, AIPAC sponsored, Kamala Harris boasting the endorsements of the worst people in the world (e.g. Dick Cheney), and adopting awful platforms (hooray for fracking?), to engage the ‘Moderate Republican’ for votes since she knows that all you so-called conscious liberals won’t even do the bare minimum to take stand in what you say you believe.
Prove them wrong. Call your representatives and tell them to hold Israel accountable. You can just leave a voicemail. Do it every day. Attend a protest. Be on the right side of history.

Recommendation: On September 24th, 2024, the state of Missouri killed 55-year old Marcellus Williams. This is one of five people the USA has killed by death penalty - the most executions carried out in a seven day period and taking the total of executions to exactly 1600 since the death penalty was reinstated in 1976.
Never mind that there really wasn’t enough evidence to prove Marcellus’ guilt and never mind that Marcellus has maintained his innocence from the beginning, and never mind that the murder victim’s family did not want Marcellus killed.
He’s dead now.
Instead, take a few minutes to honor his memory and read his poetry which includes moving pieces such as: The Perplexing Smiles of the Children of Palestine and Reflections of Dementia: Causes of Missing You (Grandfather).

And here’s a bonus picture of Don Julio! I was close to adopting him but his health issues required he find a home that could better cater to his needs.
